Privacy Policy for CaproQR

1. Data collection

CaproQR does not collect personal data or transmit user data to Limbatus or its servers.

CaproQR does not require an account and does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, profiling, or cloud synchronization services.

2. QR codes and barcodes

CaproQR processes QR codes and barcodes directly on your device.

The contents of scanned and generated codes may include information such as:

• Website addresses
• Plain text
• Email addresses
• Telephone numbers
• Wi-Fi network information
• Contact information
• Geographic coordinates
• Calendar event information
• Messages or other user-provided content

This information is processed locally to provide the scanning, generation, history, favorite, copy, save, and sharing features of the application.

CaproQR does not upload scanned or generated code contents to Limbatus or any external server.

3. Camera access

CaproQR requests access to your device camera only to scan QR codes and supported barcodes.

Camera images are processed locally and are not transmitted to Limbatus. CaproQR does not record videos or audio through the camera.

You may deny camera permission, although the live scanning feature will not work without it. Other features, including QR code generation and history management, may remain available.

4. Images selected from the device

CaproQR may allow you to select an image containing a QR code or barcode.

Only the image you explicitly select is accessed. The image is processed locally on your device for code detection and is not uploaded to Limbatus or an external server.

CaproQR does not scan your photo library in the background.

5. Locally stored information

CaproQR may store the following information locally on your device:

• Scanned code history
• Generated code history
• Favorite items
• App preferences
• Theme preferences
• Scanner settings

This information remains within the application’s local storage.

You can delete individual history entries or clear all history from the application’s settings. Uninstalling CaproQR also removes locally stored application data, subject to the behavior of your device operating system.

6. Saving and sharing content

CaproQR allows you to save generated QR code images and share scanned or generated content.

Saving or sharing occurs only after an action initiated by you. When you share content with another application, website, or service, that third party may process the information under its own privacy policy.

Limbatus does not receive the content you choose to share.

7. External links and applications

CaproQR may identify links, telephone numbers, email addresses, map coordinates, or other actionable content within a code.

CaproQR does not automatically open scanned links or perform actions without user interaction.

When you choose to open a website or another application, your interaction is governed by the privacy practices of that external service. Limbatus is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.

8. Data sharing

CaproQR does not sell, rent, disclose, or share user data with Limbatus, advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.

Content is transferred to another application only when you explicitly use a system sharing or opening action.

9. Data security

CaproQR is designed to minimize data exposure by processing QR codes, barcodes, images, and history locally.

No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Users should avoid storing highly sensitive information in QR code history and should protect access to their devices.

10. Data retention and deletion

CaproQR retains local history and preferences until you:

• Delete an individual item;
• Clear the application history;
• Clear CaproQR’s application data through Android settings; or
• Uninstall the application.

Because CaproQR does not maintain user accounts or remote user databases, Limbatus does not possess remotely stored account information that can be deleted upon request.

11. Children’s privacy

CaproQR is a general utility application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

CaproQR does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Limbatus may update this Privacy Policy when CaproQR’s functionality or legal obligations change.

The updated policy will be published at the same address and will include a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated within the application.
